Sapa

Effective 1 July 2026

Terms of service

These terms cover using Sapa. The grey sentence beside each clause says what we understand it to mean; it is written to be read, not to be relied on, and where the two ever disagree the clause is what binds.

These clauses are published for review and are awaiting sign-off from counsel. Where a clause is named but not yet published, it is listed here rather than drafted — we would rather show you the gap than fill it with our own guess.

1 Who you are agreeing with

Sapa is operated by PT Sapa Team Teknologi, registered in Jakarta, Indonesia. By creating an account, joining a meeting, or using any part of the service, you accept these terms. If you are using Sapa through an employer or another organisation, that organisation has its own agreement with us, and where it sets a rule about your use of the service, that rule applies to you as well.

Using Sapa at all means agreeing to this. If your company gave you the account, their agreement sits on top of yours.

2 Accounts, and joining without one

You do not need an account to join a meeting you were invited to. If you do create one, you are responsible for what happens under it, and you must tell us if you believe someone else has access to it. We may end a session on any device from which the account is signed in.

Guests are first-class here — a link is enough. If you have an account, look after it.

3 Recordings

A meeting is recorded only when a host starts a recording, and everyone present is told before the first frame is captured. Where the host’s organisation requires affirmative consent, or the law of a participant’s jurisdiction does, each person is asked and must answer before entering; declining means not joining, because a recording captures the room and cannot exclude one person from it. A recording belongs to the organisation whose host made it, which sets how long it is kept. We do not use recordings, transcripts or captions to train anything, and we do not read them except when you ask us to help with a specific problem.

Nothing is recorded silently. Where consent must be affirmative you will be asked, and no is a real answer with a real consequence — you stay out. The recording is your organisation’s, not ours, and it trains nothing.

4 What we do with your data

We process what we need to run meetings and to keep the service working. Audio and video are relayed, not stored, unless a recording is running. We do not sell personal data and we do not use meeting content for advertising. The Privacy notice sets out each category, why we hold it and for how long.

Live meetings pass through; they are not kept. Nothing is sold.
