The app
Every meeting works in a browser tab, and that is not a compromise version — it is the one Sapa is built around, and it stays that way. The app exists for two things the web cannot do. If neither is yours, the tab is the better choice: nothing to install, nothing to update.
Both are limits of the browser, not choices of ours
Hold Space to talk with your slides, your editor or your terminal in focus. A browser tab only receives keys while it is the front window, so this is the one shortcut the web version cannot honour — and it is the one people reach for while presenting.
Every shortcut, and which work in the backgroundOn the web the browser owns the picker, so we cannot show you a live preview before the share starts — you find out what you shared by sharing it. The app draws its own list, with previews and a confirmation, which is the whole of what makes a mis-share unlikely.
How the share panel worksEverything else is the same in both: one bar of controls, the same shortcuts, the same recording rules, the same captions. There is no feature held back to make the app look worth installing, and no version of Sapa that only exists as a download.
The mobile apps are worth it for a different reason: a browser on a phone drops the call when you leave it. Joining a link without installing anything still works, and always will.
Why the phone is differentNo build is published yet, so nothing on this page is a release. One row carries figures and they are the example the design draws, marked as one; the other four carry none, because the design draws none for them. Nothing serves any file described here, and every button below is drawn and dead until there is a release. Write to us and we will tell you where that work actually is.
